Works on Paper uses material from 36 sources: one carte de visite; one hardcover pocket book; one field guide; one issue of October; one musical reference book; one poem, printed on 8.5 x 11 white paper; one evangelical pamphlet; one restaurant placemat; one ticket stub; two business cards; two catalogs; diagrams and timetables from two CTA ‘L’ line informational pamphlets; three postcards; three promotional cards for Anthology Film Archives’s membership program, and two for its expansion project; contact sheets from four different rolls of 35mm photographs; four paint chip samples; cardboard packaging for: three varieties of 35mm photographic film canisters, a box of gel pen ink refills, and a digital camera charger; and stickers.
It also uses hand-processed b&w photographic negative film and an original 35mm Kodachrome slide from my archival collection.
